My Favorite Day of the Week to Lead

thinking thursday
Thursday is the dawn of the day to make a difference

I’m weird. I have a favorite word.

I also have a favorite day of the week to lead. It’s Thursday.

Why? Simple.

Thursday sets the stage for a scramble to the finish line on Friday. Friday is when you send your people home to be with their family. You want to set their minds at ease by creating clarity on three things:

  1. Re-set priorities.
  2. Re-adjust resources.
  3. Position for the following week.

The most effective CEOs crave clarity because it creates efficiency, comfort and stability for your people and an environment where creative, high-performers thrive.

Thursday is the greatest gift to CEOs to create clarity and a highly accountable organization.

PS – My favorite word: perspective.

I believe the wider and deeper perspective you intentionally cultivate is directly proportional to your quality of life. Exponential growth requires you to crave getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.
